Twilight - Backs to us
woah free suit

Hey everyone this is Adam, valentina's BF. I am selling my car because i want to get the downpayment together for a new one, so I figured that maybe someone who was looking for a car was also looking for a fursuit. You can check out the ad for just the car as I have it listed Here on auto trader.

But to break it down, this car is a 1999 Mercury Cougar, automatic transmission, it has a 170hp 2.5L v6, it has 83,000 miles, it gets roughly 25-28 mpg depending on how and where you drive it. It has nice fresh paint, recent tune-up, 4 wheel disc brakes, power windows, power door locks, power driver's seat, leather seats, huge cargo space when the rear seats are flipped foward, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, and more. If you are in the area and you are interested, and you would like to check her out feel free to call us here at 407-927-3247, or drop us an email at mixedcandyorders@gmail.com . Also if you need any more info at all please contact me. I guess thats about it!! Thanks for reading!!

If I wasn't already paying off a car, I'd go for it. ;)

Well, crap... that's got to be one of the best & most unique "buy my car!" offers I've ever seen. Unfortunately I'm 1) halfway across the country, and 2) flat broke, but oh well. :-P Good luck selling!

I'd go for it, too, but we just did all that registration/title transfer crap and it wasn't cheap. :( And, aren't insurance rates higher on red cars? ;)

I'd really like to have a car for me and a car for my hubby though... ah well, maybe someday... ^_^

hmmm i dunno if insurance is higher for red cars, right now im paying $110.00 a month for full coverage, collision.....the works. But florida is cheaper than alot of states i think, and im 25 now, so that brings it down a bit too.

Too bad its an automatic and on the wrong side of the country.

Besides I'd rather wait until my job situation becomes more stable before I invest in another car. Otherwise the price, age, milage, power and accessories are right in the range I'd be looking at.

Buy a one way ticket to florida and drive it back. And maybe Latin or her BF could take your measurements for your suit while your there getting the car. :-)

Just trying to help

This is terrible. The business man in me is saying, "I could sell that fursuit for at least $1,700, then sell the car for blue book value, and make almost $2,000."

well the 5700.00 is adjusted for the minor flaws that the car has, in perfect state the NADA book value with options and miles would be 6850.00, but I want a new mustang really really bad, so i want to sell her fast so i can get my self into debt faster

To whomever buys this Mercury Cougar, I will transport it to you, anywhere in the United States and Canada (except Hawaii for obvious reasons) for $0.75/mile one-way.

Trust me, that is a hell of a lot better than paying some shipping company $1.00/mile to ship it to a dealership near you.

All I ask is that I can get a rid to a nearby bus station. I will deliver the car clean and with a full tank of gas.

This offer is good to anyone who buys this car, so long as you live in North America. Thank you :)

I dont want to sound like a devil on your shoulder, but when i was 19 or so my parents co-signed for a $4000.00 for me, for 4 years. The payments ended up being roughly $100.00 a month. I'm seriously not trying to pressure you or anything. Just relaying a story so people can get some idea of what to expect if they have never financed anything.

Being a '00 cougar owner myself, I have to say that these cars are fun as all get out to drive. Its a great deal, especially with the fursuit. Notes to the future owner:

www.customcougars.com - AWESOME aftermarket site
www.fastcougar.com - Great abundance of info when you need it

Known furries who drive 99-02's: Kellic, Tad, Myself :D

I'm actually in the market for a new car.... and of course I'd enjoy a new suit.... but the next thing i'm looking at getting is going to be a hybrid... or a car that gets atleast 30mpg city... gas prices are insane!!
[info]latinvixen02 wrote:
Aug. 30th, 2005 02:49 pm (UTC)
I hear that, but i guess im throwing caution to the wind, i've wanted a mustang now for about 10 years, and now im just stupid enough to put my self in that kind of debt. 17 MPG isnt that bad if your having fun.....right? Not bad for a V8 pushing 300 hp. Unfortunatly with the price difference you pay for a hybrid instead of a standard fuel system car, it would probubly take five years or more to make the difference pay off money wise. But using less fuel is good for the environment. I cant wait until there is a hybrid car that is widely available, has great performance(0-60 in less than 6 sec), and is affordable. As long as Val has a beetle that gets close to 30 mpg as our main car, having the mustang for cruising should be fine for us.

I would be the first to pounce on the offer, but its to bad the car is older and has around the same mileage as my own vehicle.
(Mirage's car makes me want this type of car badly.)

I'll talk it over with my mate. My car is having so many problems now, I think it's about to die. Unfortunately since it's such a piece of crap I wouldn't be able to get anything out of it, maybe a couple hundred dollars. I'd really like a new car, and I much prefer buying them from people I know than dealerships (the latter of which is where my current vehicle came from).

Accually, I've been thinking about it.. My car is in my sisters name.. And shes been wanting to get it in my name.. So I'll see if I can get her to sell it, and give me the cash, and me get a loan for the rest.. Its such a beautiful car.. And I'm pretty sure this is the only way I'll get a Latin Suit.. XD

So if no one else has pounce on it yet.. I'll make a few calls. :3
[info]oniyaneko wrote:

Eh, made the calls.. And absolutly no one in my family wants to co-sign for me, even though my sister owns the car I drive and I make the monthly payments on time all the time.. And since I am like 23 with bad/no credit I need one.. So I am screwed.. *sigh*

Oh well good luck guys. *hug*
